Parents, you should be extremely proud of your youth for the way they worked this morning. They were truly Christ-like in their attitudes and work efforts. We had a Subway lunch at Euclid Beach Park right on the lake. Thanks to Kendell Cameron and Scott Griffin for working out the lunch details as well as picking up and delivering the goods for lunch.
Our two afternoon concerts were fantastic. The first concert was next door to the park. We used our Electronic Keyboard and sang to an audience of Nursing Home Residents. Among them was a lady who is 103 years old...she still exercises every day! We were excited to have in our audience a lady who followed every song in the program and sang every word along with us. She then followed us out to the parking lot to get a promo picture of our group.
Our second concert was at the David Simpson Hospice House. This concert was powerful and packed with emotion from our singers. They sang with energy and excitement...exactly the kind of singing we've come to expect from our choirs.
This evening, we had an absolute blast on the Nautica Queen. We shared a delicious buffet dinner that was followed by a great evening of dancing and fun...even Terry Childers got out on the dance floor! As a special bonus, the now-infamous Captain Gary made a special appearance. After a great day of work, singing and some moves out on the dance floor, you have some tired youth and chaperons...so we are headed to bed!!!
Mr. G's Photo Corner
As Brian has stated, amazing things are happening in Cleveland, in our ministry, in our singing, in our friendships between two youth groups, and most especially....in our hearts. Pray for us continually. The photos are getting better each day! The last 21 photos were submitted by our youth and chaperons! We are conducting a BIG photo contest for most artistic and funniest. If you see one you like...leave us a comment. Who knows, you may even sway our judge (ME!). Enjoy todays photos. These are raw and will only get better when I have time to crop and perhaps adjust exposure in them. Some are just great like they are! Not much to say here....the pictures tell our story!
