Alarms came very early this morning after a long day of travel and late night of fun with our two groups. We could have all used a good cup of Caribou Coffe. We started the morning with a wonderful breakfast of hash browns, scrambled eggs, french toast, cereal and bagels.
We arrived at First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland at 8 am, reporting for worship leadership! Our choirs sang for two worship services. We sang for their contemporary and traditional services. In both services, their Youth Dance team, led by a Julliard Dance student...phenomenal!
The church provided hamburgers and chips for our groups for lunch. We are so grateful for their thoughtfulness and generosity. Following lunch, we hit the road for Canton. When we pulled in, we were ready for some tour time at the Pro Football Hall of Fame...well most of us were (one of our students wondered why there was Panthers memorabilia at the Hall of Fame!!!).
We spent a couple of hours taking in all of the Hall of Fame exhibits (Some of the Superbowls rings were worth in excess of $10,000!!!). Church of the Savior Methodist welcomed us for our evening concert. They provided a great meal of hot dogs, baked beans, fruit, cookies, and chips. Their hospitality was amazing. Our youth sang the best concert of the day. We are just beginning to see the sparks of inspiration and melding together that makes these tours so unique and special.
We enjoyed taking some time afterwards to speak with their church members and finding out more about this wonderful church in downtown Canton. Once we said our goodbyes, we made the drive back to our Hotel. After some housekeeping details, we shared some of our experiences from the day and then were led in devotions by Eric Burton and Jake Ward. It has been a tiring by wonderful day. We are about to turn in because we start early tomorrow morning with our work projects. Thanks for your continued prayers!!
Brian has completed another steller job of capturing in words, our CR Tour and Mission Trip. Meanwhile, I have been struggling with an issue of transferring our photos, but have now resolved the problem. I am also trying to capture some video for you....but must warn you I am not a videographer. We have also started some photo contests and I will announce the winners in our blog each day for your enjoyment. I am NOT putting all the pictures up on our blog, but you will have an opportunity to have these photos in a more finished form later this year!
